Terms of Service
Effective date: 3 June 2026
1. Acceptance of Terms
SkyState is operated by Developer Jones AB, a company registered in Sweden. Full company information: Company information.
By accessing or using SkyState (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
SkyState provides cloud-hosted state management infrastructure: durable, versioned key-value state accessible from terminal, SDKs, and web console. Features include project-based state namespaces, environments, version history, and end-user state isolation.
3. Accounts and Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and keep it current.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service, or allow the Service to be used, to:
- Violate applicable law, regulation, sanctions, export controls, consumer-protection rules, privacy law, or third-party rights.
- Store, transmit, process, sell, or facilitate access to content or data that is unlawful, infringing, counterfeit, deceptive, abusive, exploitative, or that you do not have the necessary rights, licences, consents, and legal basis to process.
- Store, transmit, or process sensitive or regulated personal data unless SkyState has expressly agreed to it in writing. This includes health data, biometric data, genetic data, precise location data, government identifiers, payment-card data, bank-account data, passwords, API secrets, authentication credentials, criminal-offence data, children's data, and special-category personal data under the GDPR.
- Store, transmit, or support sexually-oriented or pornographic content, AI-generated sexual content, NSFW chatbots, face-swap tools, deepfake or face-manipulation tools, dating services, or other adult-oriented or impersonation products.
- Store, transmit, or support spyware, stalkerware, parental-control apps, unauthorised monitoring, credential theft, malware, spam, phishing, scraping, IPTV services, platform rippers, third-party content downloaders, or attempts to bypass another service's terms.
- Store, transmit, or support regulated or high-risk products or services, including gambling, lending, banking, financing, currency exchange, crypto or NFT products, medical, pharmacy, pharmaceutical, or nutraceutical products, weapons, tobacco, alcohol, drugs, telemarketing, debt relief, legal services, timeshares, homework or essay mills, multi-level marketing, or other products requiring licensing, registration, or age restriction.
- Sell or support physical goods, counterfeit goods, in-game items tied to third-party games, marketplaces for other sellers' products, donations where no product exists, PLR or MRR products where you do not hold the original intellectual-property rights, or any other products for which you lack the original intellectual-property rights.
- Sell or support job boards, advertising inventory, newsletter placements, social-media posts, marketing services, design services, web-development services, consulting, or similar service offerings without SkyState's prior written approval.
- Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, its systems, or other users' data.
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or extract source code from the Service except where applicable law expressly allows it.
- Exceed usage limits, circumvent rate limiting, or interfere with the reliability, security, or operation of the Service.
- Submit false, misleading, or inflated information about your product, account, identity, business, usage, or payment status.
SkyState may suspend, restrict, or remove access to accounts, projects, or data that appear to violate this section or that create legal, security, payment, fraud, or platform-risk concerns.
5. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Developer Jones AB and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. Your data remains yours; you grant SkyState a limited licence to store and process it solely to provide the Service.
You represent and warrant that you own or have obtained all rights, licences, consents, notices, and legal bases necessary for the data you store through the Service, and that such data does not infringe any third party's rights or violate any applicable law. You are solely responsible for the legality of your stored data.
6. Billing and Payment
Certain features require a paid subscription. Pricing, plan limits, tax treatment, tier changes, and cancellation behavior are described in the Billing documentation. Paid subscriptions are processed by Creem as merchant of record and contractual reseller. Before completing payment, checkout identifies Creem as the payment processor and merchant of record for the transaction. You authorise Creem to charge your selected payment method for the amount shown at checkout and on renewal. Charges appear on your card statement under Creem's descriptor (typically "CREEM" or "Creem*").
Paid subscriptions renew monthly until cancelled. You can manage billing and cancel a paid subscription from the SkyState console through the Creem customer portal. Ending a paid subscription is scheduled for the end of the current billing period unless otherwise stated in the product flow.
Refund requests should be sent to support@skystate.io. Include your account email, the charge date, and the reason for the request. We aim to respond within 3 business days. Refunds may be granted for duplicate or erroneous charges, paid-service unavailability caused by SkyState, or where required by applicable law. Refunds are not normally granted for used subscription periods, quota exhaustion, customer implementation issues, or cancellation after renewal. Refunds and chargebacks for transactions processed through Creem are handled by Creem under its procedures and applicable law, and Creem may issue refunds on our behalf when required by law, platform policy, or unresolved support response.
7. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by the Privacy Policy. If you store personal data about your own users or customers in SkyState, you are responsible for providing required privacy notices, obtaining required consents or legal bases, and using the Service in a way that complies with applicable data-protection law. Your privacy notices must describe your use of SkyState or comparable service providers where required by law. For customer-controlled state data, SkyState acts as a processor or service provider as described in the Privacy Policy.
Where you act as a controller and SkyState processes customer-controlled state data on your behalf, the Data Processing Agreement applies to that processing and forms part of these Terms. By accepting these Terms you accept the Data Processing Agreement to the extent it applies to you.
8. Termination
SkyState may suspend or terminate your access for material breach of these Terms, non-payment, or activity that harms the Service or other users. You may delete your account at any time. Account deletion cancels any active paid subscription known to the system at the time of deletion, when the cancellation can be completed through Creem. Subscriptions created very recently may not yet be reflected in the system; if you believe a subscription was not cancelled, contact support. If subscription cancellation fails, account deletion may be blocked until the billing issue is resolved. Upon termination, your account and project data are deleted. SkyState may retain data for a limited period where required by law or for legitimate business purposes such as fraud prevention, dispute resolution, or compliance obligations.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. SKYSTATE DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE.
10. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKYSTATE AND ITS AFFILIATES, OFFICERS, EMPLOYEES, AND AGENTS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR LOSS OF DATA OR PROFITS, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Sweden, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. The courts of Sweden have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms.
12. Changes to Terms
SkyState may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be notified by updating the effective date and, where feasible, by email or in-app notice. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
